Making Better Food Accessibility Possible

At Monde Nissin, we believe better food should be within reach of more Filipino families. That commitment is at the heart of Better Food Forward (BFF), our flagship nutrition advocacy that brings together how we improve our products, make nutrition more practical, and work with partners to address barriers to better food choices.

BFF comes to life through three areas:

  • Products — continuously improving the foods people already know and enjoy through reformulation, fortification, and new product development, while continuing to consider taste, quality and affordability.
  • Programs — translating nutrition science into practical guidance and community-based initiatives that can support more informed everyday food choices.
  • Partnerships — working with stakeholders to co-create solutions and explore promising approaches for products and programs.

We officially launched Better Food Forward on August 10, bringing different voices and perspectives into the conversation. Our stakeholder panel included Jo Sebastian, registered nutritionist-dietitian and content creator; Dr. Clarissa Juanico, President of the Philippine Stakeholders for Nutrition and Dietetics; and Cloyd Masaudling, Executive Director of Aguhon Movement for Good Governance, who shared insights on nutrition, the realities that shape everyday food choices, and opportunities for collaboration across sectors.

The program culminated in the Better Food Forward Pledge, joined by Monde Nissin leaders Wendy Antiquia, Research and Development Director; Ramil Bernabe, Chief Sustainability Officer; and Rico Gonzales, Chief Business Officer, reflecting how product innovation, sustainability, and the business all have a role in moving the advocacy forward.

We are grateful as well to our colleagues and partners from the Philippine Association of Nutrition, Philippine Stakeholders for Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutritionist-Dietitians’ Association of the Philippines Foundation, Philippine Association of Food Technologists, Department of Science and Technology–Food and Nutrition Research Institute, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture, other national government agencies, and the academe for joining us and contributing their perspectives.

Better Food Forward is a long-term commitment, and this launch is only the starting point. We look forward to continuing the dialogue, building meaningful partnerships, and finding practical ways to bring better food within reach of more Filipino families.
